The A55 is a sophisticated dual carriage way through North Wales and runs almost straight to Llandudno.
From the A55 at the junction with A470/A547/B5381 follow signs for Llandudno (A470). Once on the A470, proceed straight ahead at mini-roundabouts - following signs for Llandudno. Approximately 2 miles along the A470, on the brow of a hill the 'Llandudno Welcome' sign can be seen on the left with Llandudno bay to the fore.
Travelling by Bus
National Express provides a nationwide service of express coach services. Direct services operate to Llandudno from London's Victoria Coach Station, Birmingham, Hull, Leeds and Manchester with connections from most UK towns and cities.
Llandudno has a train station with express rail links providing, direct, fast and efficient services from key UK destinations with a new through service from Cardiff. Journey times are now shorter than ever with London just three hours away.
First North Western operates frequent direct services between Birmingham New Street, Crewe, Manchester Piccadilly and stations along the North Wales coast with connections at Llandudno Junction for the scenic Conwy Valley line. Other services serve Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria.
Virgin Trains operate direct daily services between London (Euston) and Holyhead calling at principal main line stations along the North Wales coast, all trains stop at Crewe for connections with other Virgin trains operating direct long distance services from Scotland, the North East and North West through the Midlands from the South West.
Irish Ferries and Stena Line operate high speed and regular services into Holyhead from Dublin and Dun Laoghaire. The HSS operated by Stena takes just 99 minutes. The completion of the A55 road dualling programme across Anglesey will greatly improve access from the port of Holyhead.
Manchester (72 miles) and Liverpool Airports (67 miles) offer easy access to Llandudno. Both have direct road, coach and train links into the area.
